 If the responsible body, media houses and business houses makes a serious mistake that's a bit weird. Here are 5 remarkable recent lies in Nepal.

1) NEW CONSTITUTION WILL COME IN 2 YEARS

     Though Nepalese people are quite accustomed with the lies from the political leaders, this is the biggest lie of them all. Political parties had promised to draft a new constitution within 2 years of CA election, which was held on April 10, 2008. Parliament was extended four times, many prime ministers changed in the nation, still constitution was not drafted ridiculously. And politicians from all parties had spoke lots of craps during that period.



2) GUDPAK IS NUTRITIOUS

    While going through this topic, you must be like, 'O Lord! Don't remind me that shit!'. Gudpak was popular among all age groups. Elder people used to love it and children were crazy for it. It was in the wishlist for those coming to Kathmandu from remote Nepal. It used to be sole food that represent Kathmandu. But all those lingering trust was broken in a day when the news 'Gudpak is made using adulterated materials' which is extremely detrimental to health, came to light.

3) UNITY  MAKES YOU RICH!

    Unity scammed thousands of people in Nepal, sharing an illusory dream of making them rich, with their pyramid  scheme business. Many Nepalese get blindly involved in it and many joined their near and dear ones, which make them difficult to face them after it was shut down by the government. Unity's dubious model eventually has to be crashed, making its top-level officials filthy rich, while rest others would have got nothing. It has already brought into its net more that 650,000 clients and 6 billion rupess, before supreme court had ruled all business model of Unity were illegal.

4) ANUJA RETURNED NRS 9.1 MILLION AND A DIAMOND NECKLACE SHE FOUND

      This is serious mistake done by the leading newspaper of the country i.e. Kantipur. It had published news that Anuja Baniya had returned 9.1 million rupees and a diamond necklace she found in a bag. Despite the nature of the news being extremely incredible, leading media of the country publishing it make many people buy into it. But that turned out to be the fake story created by Anuja and her near ones to get the media hype. Even president Ram Baran Yadav had congratulated her personally on phone. Kantipur daily published this news without proper research and it later apologised for the mistake.

5)VOLCANIC ERUPTION AT MOUNT LANGTANG IN NEPAL

   This is yet another lie that came on the Neplese media. And after visiting the Langtang area, Nepal army soldiers confirmed that there was no volcano eruption at Mount Langtang, smoke is from a wildfire burning in the area. "Volcano eruption in Nepal" news spread quickly as a sign of end of the world hoax.
