Nepali Fitness.
How do you rate the fitness status of Nepalese? Excellent.. Good.. fair.. bad. I can't say bad but fair or good would be the unbiased answer. Importance of exercise to human body is as significant as food and water. According to experts the three factors to keep human body fit and healthy is rest, exercise and balanced diet. If you can keep this things smoothly you can have long and disease-less life.
If we talk about the rural areas in Nepal, they are very hard working. Either they overwork or they work in the wrong way. It is very harmful to bend our back for very long time while working. But unfortunately in our country most of the work habits are still the traditional ones. So eventually lots of problems is seen especially on backbone and bones of the body. And food habits in rural areas is traditional as well. Morning dal, bhat, tarkari and evening the same dal bhat tarkari. And in the city area most of the people don't work at all. Those who work in the office don't go to gym or do any exercise like yoga..Actually very few people in Nepal manage to go to gym regularly.
I think the fitness consciousness should be spread everywhere in Nepal from government level and from private sector as well. Importance of fitness to human body should be elaborated effectively.
